Han
Lim
Since joining Stellar Services in 2001, Han Lim brings over
20 years of engineering experience. Majoring in Mechanical
Engineering, Han earned a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree
at North Dakota State University and an Associate's Degree
at Kuantan Polytechnic in Malaysia. As Vice President of
Operations, Han is responsible for providing network
consulting services, including software and hardware
procurement; data migration; physical inventory; and desktop
rollouts and installations, involving thousands of personal
computers for each client, sometimes within multiple
locations. As Project Manager for these projects, Han was
also responsible for coordination between the client and
Stellar's personal computer partner.
As part of his duties, Han has also managed the upgrade
of a 100-user Token-ring to a 450-user gigabit fast Ethernet
local area network with voice over Internet protocol
technology. He supervised the installation of fiber-optic
backbone and category 5e cables, electrical supplies, and
air conditioners for server room and switches closets; and
the set-up and configurations of new Compaq cluster servers,
Cisco switches, HP printers, and Dell desktop computers. In
addition, Han coordinated desktop and server data migration
to network system switch over.
Han began his career as a Technical Assistant
specializing in production and process engineering for an
electric company in Malaysia. Two years later, Han became a
Plant Manager overseeing the operations of a 300-person
manufacturing facility for an industrial company in New
York. His responsibilities grew to include facilities
management. He later was promoted to Engineering Manager
where he managed 25 employees in the central operations and
was responsible for three manufacturing facilities with 800
employees. He was in charge of all expansion and remodeling
programs which included design, construction, installation,
start up, and debugging of manufacturing facilities. He
followed that up as a Project/General Manager for two
separate manufacturing companies, where he was heavily
involved with the design and construction of their
manufacturing facilities. |
