Job Opening:

GIS developer

Duties:

• Design and develop new enterprise GIS solutions and enhancements to existing software applications.
• Perform analysis, design, coding, testing, verification and validation, and maintenance of custom geospatial desktop and web-based solutions.
• Analyze and document software requirements, prepare design specifications, develop software, create and implement test plans and installation packages on a C#.NET / ArcGIS / ArcSDE / SQL Server platform.
• Use knowledge of software lifecycle processes to ensure quality applications are designed, tested and delivered.
• Debug and characterize defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for test reports.
• Provide customer support during requirements gathering, systems integration and acceptance testing.

Skills/Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of ESRI (Specific) and GIS (General) related technologies and techniques.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server and ARCIMS.
• Proficient in the use of 9.x and above ESRI software products.
• Experience in applications development with ArcObjects, Java, Javascript, and Flex in a scalable enterprise environment.
• Experience in system integration of programs and databases from difference configurations and/or separate platforms (ESRI and Autotdesk).
• Experience with spatial datasets stores in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

• Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
• Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
• Creates multimedia applications by using authoring tools.
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
